This image, which is part of a larger series of photographs, depicts transformed bits of bottle glass, floating next to a dumpster. After collecting broken glass from the streets in my neighborhood, I labored over these sparkling shards, cleaning, sorting, and fusing them back together in a kiln. Using Photoshop, I created images where the objects float gracefully above the places where they once rested, as garbage.
